Bile diarrhea: After gallbladder removal or ERCP sphincterotomy bile enters the upper intestine more freely. Bile can be irritating to the intestine and colon in some people and you may be one of those sensitive to bile. Questran (cholestyramine) is a bile binder and usually manages this type of diarrhea. No but see your doc: Clear anal discharge often means mucus, a symptom of inflammation. Possible from hemorrhoids, or simple residual inflammation of your colon from your recent infection. Your doctor can help differentiate for you, but not an emergency. ...Read more

Possible: Patient who have their gallbladder removed could experienced post cholecystectomy diarrhea it is usually self limited and worst after heavy or greasy meal it is easy treated if persisted make sure you eT plenty of yogurt and banana and avoid dairy product and greasy food and avoid diarrhea medicine from over the counter see a doctor if persists ...Read more

Try cholestyramine: If he diarrhea came after the gallbladder removal, it is unusual but may be caused by bile reaching the colon faster and may be controlled or eliminated by cholestyramine. On the other hand, if the diarrhea is caused by dietary factors, the drug will not solve the problem. Dietary experimentation may be what you need. ...Read more
