Question the flu dx: IF you really HAD the flu, it isn't causing your diarrhea now. As long as your stools aren't bloody, you don't have a fever and your abdominal pain is minor after an episode of diarrhea, just keep orally hydrated and eat smart. Avoid caffeine, milk and fatty/fried/greasy foods. and eat bananas, steamed rice, apple sauce, lean protein and toast [a little jelly is okay, but no butter]. ...Read more

Tamiflu (oseltamivir) can be used: You can use Tamiflu (oseltamivir) to shorten the duration of the illness if she is still within 48hr window of her illness . Otherwise just let it run the course -usually 5-7days to get over influenza. Sporadic diarrhea of a 2 yr toddler , if otherwise still has good appetite and no weight loss is reassuring .
