Diabetic Prep Afternoon Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy results-tubular adenoma colon polyp, diverticulosis&hemorrhoids. I was told prep not complete-should I repeat colonoscopy sooner than 3yr?
Why would bowel preps not work? Poor prep with colyte (polyethylene glycol). Now on 2 day prep starting w/ mag. Citrate. No bm after 9 hours. Followed directions exactly!
I took miralax prep for colonoscopy tomorrow..also 4 stool softeners as directed along with the broth jello diet..started the cleanse at 4 p.m. still ?

Because the goal is to clear your colon of stool completely, the regimen is very aggressive and you may be having bowel movements almost continuously until it is just clear liquid coming out. Possibly: Bowel preps are taken to assure that the colon is relatively clean as the scope is passed so that even small lesions in the mucosa can be visualized. Many of the preps contain polyethylene glycol which absorbs liquid into the bowel. This may help but you may need a stool softner. ...Read more

See a GI doctor asap: You may need to be retested for C. difficile but also get tested for other infectious as well as getting a colonoscopy with biopsies to look for microscopic colitis that can cause frequent, watery stools along with bloating and weight loss.
