Can enzyme supplementation aid in managing diabetic nephropathy?

Not that I know of: No management showed promise in managing diabetic nephropathy besides control of diabetes, hypertension, cholest &meds i.e. Ace/arb. Avoiding concurrent insult to the kidneys is paramount. In laboratory rates a ketogenic diet actually showed great promise however it is not tolerated or recommended in human diabetics. It further stresses the benefit of strict carbohydrate and diabetes control, though. ...Read more

Recommended daily intake for: b-complex, vitamin b-12, vitamin a, vitamin k, vitamin e, magnesium and potassium?

Depends: If you look at any multivitamin bottle, there will be a rda (recommended daily allowance) for the different components. There is very little evidence out there that surpassing rda will treat or prevent any disease. From my field (ophthalmology), people who have moderate to severe macular degeneration can benefit from higher levels of a, c, e, and zinc, but the benefit is relatively small. ...Read more

Including essential Amino acids supplement (BCAA) would affect gout?

None will effect gou: Gout is related to URIC ACID and PURINES, not amino acids or protein supplements. BUT, since everything you mention is a complete waste of money, why bother to ask? There are meds used to control gout in different ways. Low dose aspirin and thiazide diuretics tend to raise uric acid levels. Alcohol, especially in large amounts, often causes attacks. Low purine diets are slightly effective. ...Read more

Remedy vitamin-a , b-12, zinc, vitamin-d3 deficiencies?

Find cause: I'm going to assume that you were tested by a reputable lab; there are fake "nutrition labs." d3 deficiency is common due to diet and lack of sun exposure. If you are vitamin a and zinc deficient on a reasonably normal non-vegetarian diet, you may have malabsorption. If you are B12 deficient non-vegan, you are likely to be seriously sick & need a proper workup. Get with a dr you rightly trust. ...Read more

Overdose of which vitamin is dangerous vita, vitd, vitb1, folic acid?

Overdose of which vitamin is dangerous vita, vitd, vitb1, folic acid?

A & D- very rare: One can only overdose on fat soluble vitamins (a, d, e) except vit. B6 (which should be limited to 250 mg/day). But it takes huge amounts to overdose. The average adult would need to take about 2 million units of a to overdose, or 200, 000 iu/day for several months. Vit d toxicity is rare unless one takes at least 40, 000 iu/day for months. Depends on amount: Vitamin c is an essential vitamin. However, excessive amounts can lead to kidney stones, which could possibly affect your ckd.
