What does in an EKG a p axis 26 and qrs axis -23?

What does in an EKG a p axis 26 and qrs axis -23?

Electrical angle: They are angles of electrical vectors of the upper (p) and lower (qrs) chambers of the heart. P wave axis is within normal range. The qrs is leftward but within normal range as well. ...Read more

Electrocardiogram (Definition)

Electrocardiogram (ecg, ekg) is a print-out of the electrical forces detected by electrodes on the chest wall, as electricity travels through the heart with each heart beat. The electrodes are placed in different positions, and each position "sees" the electrical activity of the heart from its own vantage point. Abnormalities in signal detected at chest surface ...Read more

What does it mean when EKG comes back borderline horizontal axis for age?

What does it mean when EKG comes back borderline horizontal axis for age?

Usually nothing: This is likely just secondary to the way your heart is positioned in your chest, for example in a taller person the heart lies more vertical in the chest cavity, and is more horizontal in a shorter person. Ask you doc about your particular ekg findings. ...Read more

I had a ekg and it said it was abnormal because of a left axis deviation. what is that?

It's on it's side: cannot say in your particular case, but generally, it means the the heart, electrically, is moved to the left. This can be from a big belly, a big heart (bad), electrical wiring that is running badly in the heart or parts of the heart have died off in the other areas (prev heart attack). Even the big belly increases surgical risk. ...Read more

I took an ekg, and it says: "T abnormality in inferior leads" Axis= T -24°. What means?

ECG reading: What you describe doesn't sound worrisome and is very nonspecific. In isolation though it means nothing - this is something you should discuss with your provider. ...Read more

Hi, I had an EKG that came back normal, but my P-R-T Axis was 65:72:66 degrees. That's within normal range, but could it signal something in future?

Hi,

I had an EKG that came back normal, but my P-R-T Axis was 65:72:66 degrees. That's within normal range, but could it signal something in future?

Ekg: Your EKG should be read by your doc not machine, if it is normal then it is normal. No need to worry for a test which is seen as normal by a specialist . ...Read more

EKG has recently started showing biphasic T waves, it didnt before. Had one yesterday, showed Rightward Axis Borderline EKG. What would cause this?

EKG has recently started showing biphasic T waves, it didnt before. Had one yesterday, showed Rightward Axis Borderline EKG. What would cause this?

Several causes: These may be a normal variants to conditions that might need further evaluation. Being able to look at the EKG is essential to making a diagnosis. Please consider having a virtual consult so you might discuss this further. Best of luck! ...Read more

My EKG said: rate 97, pr 145, rsd 92, qt 325, qtc 413 axis=68/-25/46 qrs axis -15 to -30, qrs negative in v5 or v6, pv1 - .10 mv or more negative?

My EKG said: rate 97, pr 145, rsd 92, qt 325, qtc 413 axis=68/-25/46 qrs axis -15 to -30, qrs negative in v5 or v6, pv1 - .10 mv or more negative?

Unusual: Heart rate of 97 at rest is slightly faster than normal. Qrs complexes in leads v5 and v6 should be positive and not negative. I question those findings and wonder about misplaced leads. Discuss these ekg findings with your physician. ...Read more

My 17 year old cousins EKG showed leftward axis and incomplete right bundle branch block. It's abnormal for her age but what does it mean?

My 17 year old cousins EKG showed leftward axis and incomplete right bundle branch block. It's abnormal for her age but what does it mean?

Ecg: Those findings are not usual for the age but don't necessarily imply any specific pathology present. They need to put together with the rest of her clinical situation to assess whether any explanation suggests itself. ...Read more

I have a asd&asa with abnormal ekg (right axis deviation) >100 they say this is the asd in work overload what would cause the overload? Is it bigger?

I have a asd&asa with abnormal ekg (right axis deviation) >100 they say this is the asd in work overload what would cause the overload? Is it bigger?

Right axis deviation: Electrocardiographic right axis deviation which is increasing over time associated with an ASD can indicate right ventricular dilation. If the ECG is a one point in time measurement, then its reliabiltiy as a predictor of right heart enlargement is less. Discuss with your doctor. Measuring shunt with echo is an easy way to evaluate the ASD. Sometimes a TEE is needed. ...Read more
