Depends: Desipramine is an old medication from the tca group. It is relatively norepinergic, that can possibly increase motivation. Nardil belongs to the group of maoi, which are supposed to increase all three neurotransmitters, promote alertness etc., which also can improve motivation. Usually I have : My patients stay on their current meds with the exception of aspirin, coumadin, fish oil and vit e. But don't take your meds just before starting the prep as you will flush them out and thus will be ineffective.
