Hydrocortisone oint: You have 3 cortisone ointments, but 2 of them (dermovate and dovobet) should not be used in the genital area, because the skin is too thin. The Hydrocortisone is milder, and is safer for use in that area. However, I feel you need to talk to your dermatologist about possible systemic therapies for your psoriasis, . ...Read more

First of all am thanking for your help. My question is I used dermovate cream for several years and I need to quit this cream, and I tried for weeks but my face look worse what can I do please help.
Not for face: Clobetasol should not be used on the face. Sounds like you have a condition caused by steroid on the face. Technical term is "perioral dermatitis" or periorafacial dermatitis". It features red pimples with a narrow clear area around the mouth. Clobetasol makes it temporarily better but it rebounds worse. You will get worse until you stop it, even though it is worse when you first stop. Calcineurin ...Read more

How to fade dark hyper pigmented scars on my abdomen? I've used Dermovate and it helped a little. Sunlight always makes them darker. I've had for 3 year
Not a good idea: Please don't do this. "Dermovate" is clobetasol, a glucocorticoid. It will first suppress, then much exacerbate, acne by suppressing the ability to fight the bacteria. The post-acne red lesions aren't treatable; they're the normal healing of the skin. The pigmented lesions are best left alone; you can make them look worse with bleach. Prevent new lesions by scientific Rx -- ask your physician. ...Read more
