It appears that you already follow with GYN, so they should be able to tell you when the cyst should be removed. Many times, the cyst is monitored every 6 months to a year for interval increase in size. If the size remains stable over time, there is no need for intervention. Good luck. ...Read more
No: Functional cysts such as follicles are intended to rupture (that's ovulation, ) many abnormal cysts (endometriomas, benign tumors, dermoid cysts) will not go away unless removed. If you have symptoms: from ruptured cysts it would almost certainly be pain; BUT, it could range from severe pain to absolutely nothing at all - and everything in between.
