Dermatologist: May be responding to your insurance coverage or have the expectation that you will have full resolution of the condition you are being treated for. If you have good response with fluocinonide then wouldn't worry. If your symptoms don't respond than would recommend calling the physician for update. ...Read more

Perhaps because: Solutions can be a little drying. But I would be cautious about using steroids on your face for any period of time. With long term use it can thin the skin. I would try toners, and consider Botox if true sweating on the face. ...Read more

What did the dermato: What did the dermatologist say? None of the treatments you mention are likely to be of benefit for this. Your description is not enough for diagnosis. If your dermatologist is stumped he may ask another dermatologist for a consult. How much does it bother you? If not much distress you may wish to give it some timer. I have seen people get rid of recurrent facial abscesses by using mupirocin (bactrban) intranasally for 6 weeks which is less impact on stomach.
