A small, firm papule that is most common on the legs of adult women. These scar-like bumps often appear after a bug bite, shaving nick, or ingrown hair, and are benign.

Minor mystery: I'm going to assume it's not enlarging or otherwise suspicious, and that you have fewer than 15 total. Some folks say these can begin with bug bites; the truth is nobody knows. They're probably true tumors but since they're almost never a problem, nobody's looked hard to find the mutations. Keep it or have it excised; it's your call. Thanks for asking. ...Read more
