Only two?: Most people normally dream 4 or 5 times a night. You're not dreaming "too much, " you're waking up after (presumably) periods of REM sleep. Specific medication: If your doctor is not aware there's a specific medication called PRAZOSIN. It's very effective in treating nightmares, especially useful in cases of PTSD. Discovery made by Dr. Murray Raskind @ VA Hospital. Rather fortuitous finding made in Vietnam Vets decades ago with bad PTSD. Discuss w/ provider: Side effects - especially extreme ones - need to be brought up as soon as possiblr. They learn more from this than anything else - both about the drug and you. Not necessarily: Going on and coming off of antidepressant can have consequences. Going on can result in a brief period of dreams or nightmares that clears quickly. Coming off of antidepressants can have a resurgence of the dreaming which goes away, but true withdrawal symptoms can also occur. How can I cope with depression? I was recently denied admissions at dartmouth college and my dream of becoming an orthopedic surgeon faded away.

Depressed?: I can understand how disappointing it can be to not make every goal you set for yourself. But, at 18 there is absolutely no reason to think you will not be an orthopedic surgeon someday.

It took me years to work my way through school. There was no assistance and I did not get into every program I hoped for. But, try and try again, study harder and harder and doors do open.

I: I am perplexed on why your fiance' is prescribed 4 antidepressants (as earlier pointed out). This is a not (to put it mildly) very common thing to do with patients for depression.
