Although : Although many of these symptoms might be explained by depression and anxiety, they could have other causes. That is the reason that your medical health needs to be checked out before just assuming it is from a mental health problem. For instance: is your vitamin d level normal? Is your carnitine level normal? Is your thyroid level normal? If you are male - is your testosterone level normal? Are you anemic? Do you have a urinary tract infection? This is a tiny sampling. I recommend that you have a thorough physical examination and if none of your symptoms are explained by medical conditions, then follow through with a psychiatric evaluation. Take care. ...Read more

My mother age iz 50 yr of depression patient and excessive urination mostly 15 times a day .what are the causes..?

Screen for diabetes: Hi. Your mom should be screened for diabetes. Have her talk to her doc about the urination and whether she also has excessive thirst, fatigue, blurred vision, altered nerve function in the feet, etc. Testing for diabetes is easy, and if she has it, not treating it puts her at high risk. Regardless, she should eat healthily and exercise regularly. Good luck to her! ...Read more

Frequent urination and vitamin d deficiency. Is there a connection?

Frequent urination and vitamin d deficiency. Is there a connection?

No known connection: The institute of medicine recently lowered the threshold for a vitamin d deficiency from 30ng/ml to 20 ng/ml so the probability of you even having a vitamin d deficiency is very low. If you are concerned, have a doctor do a simple blood test to check your levels. Frequent urination, associated with increased thirst, may indicate elevated blood sugar. Again, if so, see a doctor to be tested. ...Read more

Can you say if it could it cause frequent urination if i don't shake the dribbles off after i pee?

Can you say if it could it cause frequent urination if i don't shake the dribbles off after i pee?

Post Void Dribbling: Post void dribbling(pvd) results from incomplete contraction of the muscles around the urethra(urine channel). This results in urine that, with movement, can leak out. This leakage is not an indication of overactive bladder and will not lead to frequency of urination. With a kegel squeeze leftover urine can be passed. Milking the urethra from behind the scrotum forward can also expel it. ...Read more

Frequent urination very clear even though I haven't drank any water at all?

There are many foods and drinks that could affect this, so I recommend reviewing your diet over the last several months. Make sure you are getting enough water, which could help dilute your urine as well. Lastly, get a urinalysis to ensure there is no blood or infection. ...Read more
