Can x-rays from doctor, and dentist cause cancer? Averaging 2 x rays a year, for teeth using film in the mouth.
No: The healthier your mouth, the less "soreness" from orthodontic adjustments. Make sure to keep your teeth and gums scrupulously clean. Any discomfort caused by orthodontic adjustment will then be mild and of short duration. Anything other than that, see your orthodontist asap. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

doctor prescribe chymoral forte,,fursultiamine compound, vitamin B1+B6+B12 for thigh swelling 1 month x ray of hip joint and lumbar clear.effectivens?
Not sure.: As you are far away in a different country, & since practices vary by region, it's hard to guide you. I am not certain of your diagnosis. Chymoral Forte, to my knowledge, is chymotrypsin & trypsin, which are digestive enzymes. Unless there is some nutritional issue leading to swelling (protein deficiency?), I am not sure how the thiamine & vitamin supplements will help. Consider HealthTap Prime. ...Read more
Dentist took X-ray of tooth plus 3D same side. Said low dose machine. Had vest pulled up as high as possible. Radiation risk?
Depends: I depends on how old you are when you get the scan. The younger you are and the more scans you get the higher the risk. Some studies say there is significant risk for white blood cell cancers. A one off scan is unlikely to cause cancer in itself but it not entirely risk free. If there is a good reason to do the test it would have to be balance against the risk of the scan. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have hip osteoporosis Tscore of -2.8, FRAX of 2.2, started (Bon Viva) with very unpleasant side effects. Any other drugs with less side effects ?
Not much: That is statistically different from placebo, though everything under the sun has been reported it is hard to link it to the drug. The one side effect that is different by about2% is infection, do I would not give it to a compromised person or one who had an acting infection. The debate ove osteonecrosis of the jaw continues on. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
