Can you get hep c through unprotected sex? My ex told me he had it after we got done. When we were dating I'm assuming he had it since he shot up drugs but I want to make sure I don't have it!!!
Low risk, get tested: As I answered your other question, you are at little or no risk of hepatitis C from your former partner. It't not sexually transmitted nearly as often as some people say. To the extent you were at risk from him, it was more because of the possiblity of blood exposure than sex. But to be certain, have a test. If you have not otherwise been at risk for hep C, you can expect a negative result. ...Read more

If you didn't ingest: Methamphetamine, the amount that made be transferred through skin (which is essentially zero) or through kissing (which is close to zero) shouldn't result in a positive urine test. If you have depression, and are "blacking out" (losing consciousness?) you should seek medical attention for the cause and treatment. Having a methamphetamine user in your life isn't helping either, I imagine. ...Read more

Are there good natural cures for dry eyes? I don’t want to use drugs and medicated eye drops if I can help it. I’ve read that flaxseed oil can help make tears more oily so they don’t evaporate so fast. Is this true? Are there any other natural solutions?
Although: Although taking flax seed oil by mouth can improve symptoms of dry eye, it will not have an immediate effect (and can take up to two months to be noted). In the meantime I agree that it is prudent to avoid medicated eye drops. Instead, use of a "preservative-free" artificial tear is both safe and provides immediate relief. These generally are sold over the counter and come in small plastic vials for single use. ...Read more
I was in ER due to low potassium from blood pressure drug chlorlithidone to find also I was over medicated on Synthroid (thyroxine) to how long till side eff gone?
Resolve quickly: Hyperthyroidism can also lower blood potassium. Some people taking Chlorthalidone need extra potassium, others don't. If your synthroid (thyroxine) dose is correctly adjusted, and if you take some extra potassium, you should be fine. If you stick with the chlorthalidone, you should use rx potassium (can't do it with bananas). May be best to use another BP medication. ...Read more

Of course: I do not recommend any medication as part of a diet and most successful diets do not involve any type of medication. That said, in general "diets" don't work if it is a temporary diet, as when the diet ends people usually regain weight. The most successful diets are life-long changes in how you eat. Again, no medication is required for one to have a healthy diet. ...Read more
