EMERG 300mg Demerol by accident thought I was taking 200 and 25 phenergan (promethazine) but found the phenergan (promethazine) and relized I took an xtra Demerol. Will it hurt me?

Probably OK: If you have been taking 200 demerol with 25 phenergan (promethazine) then 300 demerol will probably be OK. Will just be more drowsy. Could have someone stay with you for a few hours to make sure you are not to drowsy. Don't take phenergan (promethazine) or any other med or alcohol for a while. ...Read more

Will thorazine (chlorpromazine) make me feel crazy?

Will thorazine (chlorpromazine) make me feel crazy?

Circumstances: This depends on the circumstances of using thorazine (chlorpromazine). If it's been prescribed for psychotic symptoms, agitation, &sleeplessness, i agree it could help you feel better. Does anyone know protocol for discontinuing thorazine (chlorpromazine)?

Does anyone know protocol for discontinuing thorazine (chlorpromazine)?

Symptom exacerbation: Discontinuation protocol must address major risk of discontinuation. In the case of thorazine (chlorpromazine) and other antipsychotic medications, the big risk is return of psychotic symptoms (voices, paranoia, other delusions). Since these symptoms, almost by definition, is difficult for the sufferer to detect by him/herself, a person who can monitor for return of symptoms is needed: ideally, a psychiatrist. ...Read more

Why would anyone abuse the perscription drug thorazine (chlorpromazine)?

Wow ... : That is strange. It is a cheap way to fall asleep, so, if someone wants to sleep their life away, while putting up with all of the unpleasant side effects of thorazine, (chlorpromazine) i guess that could be a reason. Otherwise, i'm at a loss. ...Read more
