Both: A cold is an upper respiratory infection. Acute bronchitis is also an upper respiratory infection. I would say you have both: acute bronchitis caused by a cold. Possibly nasal: You should obviously have that checked out. Any bleeding in the nasal cavity will also give you blood in the sputum. Rest, soup/hot drink: It sounds like you have a viral infection-possibly the flu given the many cases we are seeing in the hospitals now. Rest is vitally important.
