Yes,: Yes, I agree with you, you should be more concerned. Please see your doctor again or get a second opinion. Constant cough for six weeks during pregnancy needs a complete evaluation. Rest, soup/hot drink: It sounds like you have a viral infection-possibly the flu given the many cases we are seeing in the hospitals now. Rest is vitally important. Keeping very well hydrated also is important -chicken soup, hot lemon tea, etc should help. Try over-the-counter cough medicine/Tylenol.
