Keep connected: Allergic reactions to penicillin type drugs can be dangerous. You should be in daily contact with your doctor. Especially if the interventions don't seem to be doing anything. These reactions can progress to anaphylaxis, angioneurotic edema and even stevens-johnson syndrome. The high dose steroids should be helping. Check: with your doctor. It is also concerning me that you have not listed bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) or sulfa as an allergy. The thrombocytopenia is probably drug related and should never take it again. Check with your hematologist for advice in this regard prior to getting pregnant. Best wishes. ...Read more
