Cannot say: without an exam, I can only give general information, and.. several other ear wax remedy's out there. AND, often the debrox has to be done in more than one cycle. be sure and rinse it out many times each cycle. Other possiblities such as ear infection would benefit from an exam. ...Read more

Ear wax stuck in ear? I took a shower last night and i still have some sort of water/wax buildup impairing my hearing in my left ear. I tried dropping rubbing alcohol in it and using an expired tube of debrox, but no luck, yet also no physical pain.

As : As long as you have no history of eardrum perforation, the simplest thing to do is buy a baby bulb syringe, fill it with luke warm water, and self-irrigate the ear in a dependent position. This usually works after the wax has been softened by a cerumenolytic medication (debrox). If this doesn't work have your pcp or ENT physician take a look. ...Read more

Tympanic Membrane: Hi Charles, It seems that the debrox solution is leaking from your external ear canal into your middle ear, at which point it is draining through your nose (see image). This suggests that you have a perforation of your ear drum, or your "tympanic membrane" and that's how the debrox is leaking through. I suggest you have a doctor take a look in your ear canal to confirm if here is a perforation. ...Read more
