Patience, Patience : Acne is a common skin condition with variable degrees of expression. You don't mention your age. You say you have used Accutane for a year. That is usually only used for someone with severe cystic acne. Also, it has teratogenic effects and is stored in fat so don't get pregnant for a while. See a good dermatologist to better manage your acne. ...Read more

Options:: If otc products havent' helped, ask your ob/gyn to prescribe a topical wash or gel like benzaclim, that has antibacterial properties, and my help with breakouts. You can try modifying your diet as well, but if nothing works, then try to take comfort in knowing that your skin will return to normal after the baby is born and that your treatment options will be much broader once the baby is born. ...Read more

This should be balanced with copper in a 1:10-15 ratio, so 2-4 mg of copper. Many zinc supplements are balanced with the proper amount of copper. Many other vitamins and minerals can help. See http://thescienceofacne.com/vitamin-and-mineral-supplements/ Minimize sugar and dairy. ...Read more
