Saw something on tv today about herpes infection killing babies. Is this complete lies? I thought herpes was just a rash and NOT DEADLY at all?

Be calm, 5th's dz: is a common viral infection seen in children. It is caused by parvovirus. Anemia shouldn't affect the course of the infection which is self-liming, but My question is why is your child anemic. I would focus on good supportive care, lots of fluids, prune juice good for anemia and foods high in iron. But discuss with your pediatrician. Hope that helps ...Read more
