Repeat Ultrasound: After IVF, one can see several different scenarios. It is best to wait and repeat the ultrasound. Do not feel anything is wrong till a repeat ultrasound is done. Early ultrasounds can be confusing. sometimes, twin pregnancies happen even with 1 blastocyst transfer as the blastocyst can divide. However, growth discrepancy can happen and one may survive and the other may not. Good Luck! ...Read more

I am 11days post 5 day blastocyst transfer and have been experiencing period like cramping on and off for five days, is this normal?

I am 7 Days past 5 day 2 perfect blastocyst transfer and test this morning showed very faint positive. Is this a good sign?

Too early: The possibility of pregnancy is there but still to early to tell remember spontaneous abortion can take place up to 16 weeks therefore is quite early to tell, if this is going to be a viable pregnancy. Reason why you doctor sees you every 3 to 4 weeks during your pregnacy and follows intra uterine growth with sonograms. ...Read more

Can a day 5 blastocyst be transferred in day 7 of my natural cycle through ivf?

Can a day 5 blastocyst be transferred in day 7 of my natural cycle through ivf?

No: The window of implantation appears to close at about noon on day 6 post-retrieval. While there may be occasional pregnancies, the success rate drops significantly. I am not sure why you or your doc would want to transfer on day 7, but it is almost certainly a poor idea. ...Read more

Hi, i had day 5 embryo at blastocyst stage grid bc transfer and today is 5 days pass the transfer i don't any symptoms does this means negative .

Embryo transfer: We presume implantation takes place within 48 - 72 hours of the transfer but you won't detect any pregnancy hormones until 7 - 12 days after the transfer. Therefore you could still be pregnant even if you don't have any symptoms. ...Read more

Could a 5 day frozen blastocyst be divided into identical twins after transfer?

Yes: Actually this is slightly more common after day five transfer ~1%. Since the embryo is in nearly hatching or hatching, the transfer "pressure" can cause the embryo to split into identical twins. This is one of the disadvantages of day 5 transfer. Good luck. ...Read more

Is it possible to use embryos which are between 2-8 cells on day 5. In other words they haven't developed to morula or blastocyst stage. I am finding ?

Possible but.....: Unfortunately, it sounds like the embryos have not developed well. A day three embryo typically has between 6-10 cells. By the time day 5 or 6 is reached, the blastocyst should have hundreds of cells. The embryos you are describing have basically stopped growing around day 2 or 3. They have a very low chance for a successful pregnancy. Sorry about that. ...Read more

3 days of spotting and 1 day with a loss of a brown stringy clot, 10 days past 5day blastocyst transfer, is it all over for my icsi?

Patience: Today's home pregnancy tests are very accurate, but if done too early, a negative result may be due to testing too soon. One can do a test in a few days. The result will be reliable by then. Avoid thinking anything about eggs, sperm, pregnancies, or babies, etc., until after doing the pregnancy test. ...Read more
