My largest follicle is 9 mm on the day 3 of my cycle . Is it good or bad? Is there chance to get bigger till the day 12?
Normal: Yes, your follicles are supposed to start off small (<10mm) at the beginning of your cycle (cycle day 1-8) and then increase in size as your body produces more FSH (follicle stimulating hormone). If you have regular monthly cycles, then there is a good chance you will develop a bigger follicle by day 12. If you don't have regular cycles, then you may need ovulation induction meds (i.e. Clomid). ...Read more
Had follicar scan. One main follicle right side measures 14, one on left 12. Cycle day 10. Does it mean that i will release 2 eggs this month?
Had a follicle measure 13.4mm on cycle day 9. Go in cycle day 11 and it disappeared. What happened?
Normal ovarian cyst: An ovarian follicle matures monthly during the menstrual cycle. As it does so, an egg is ripened and released into the tube. The "cyst" remains behind, producing hormones which may increase in amount, if the cyst receives the proper hormonal stimulation from a fertilized egg. You are describing a healthy process. This is an indicator that you are fertile and likely capable of future pregnancy. ...Read more

Hard to say: Septated follicles can be septated for various reasons. One of them being blood. Ie hemorrhagic cyst. Cysts that have blood in them are typically after ovulation. So a 16 mm follicle on day 10 doesn't look like a good prognosis for this month. Also follow up with your gyn to make sure that the septated cyst eventually goes away. ...Read more
Small: The follicle usually reaches 18 to 20 mm when it is ready to ovulate. In the days preceding ovulation, follicles usually grow approximately 1 mm per day. Based on your number, i would guess you will be ovulating in 5 to 6 days, but this is just a guess, and it may be that you won't ovulate at all this cycle. Unfortunately it's hard to tell in advance what will happen. Would luck! ...Read more
Ovulation: Generally speaking of follicle is able to rupture and emit the eighth at approximately 18 mm or greater. On merional 75 mg from 3rd to 9 day cycle now 10th day largest follicle 11mm , dr want increase dose 150mg /day for 4 days, what do you think?Plz help
It is not uncommon for a dose to be adjusted throughout the cycle, if there is poor response. If you worry too much about this cycle and your dosage changes, your high levels of stress could prevent your ovary from achieving maximum stimulation. Try meditation, prayer and not thinking about it at all. It really is out of your hands for now.
Good luck! ...Read more
Follicle study:11day scan:26x20mm u.Th 7mm, 15th day scan:ireegular collapsed follicle&9mm.Other hormon test of both normal. But not conceived.Pls help?
Try Try Again!: Seems that you are forming a mature follicle which is rupturing at mid cycle and presumably releasing an egg. If your tubes are open and your partner's semen is deemed adequate then one would hope that you will conceive. If no success after 6 months you may need to seek more specialized fertility evaluation and possible ovarian stimulation.. ...Read more
Cycle day 10. 2 follicles measure 12 and 14. Lining currently measures 6. Will lining likely to be thick enough for implantation by time i ovulate?
We like to see a minimum of 6 mm endometrial thickeningj. Thicker is better tho. And at only day 10 the lining should be even better. Also, the follicles should be 16mm and the 2 you have should grow to that as well.

Following are my ovulation study results:
Day 12 & 14 : 12 mm follicle in Left ovary
Day 16 : 14 mm follicle in Left ovary
Day 18: 12 mm follicle in Left ovary
Can this be possible? Why would the follicle size decrease?
Follicle size: If your wife has a normal 28 day cycle, she will be ovulating shortly. A follicle is considered mature if it reaches 16mm, and the growth rate is approx. 3 mm/day. So if your wife would ovulate within the next 48 hrs the size seems OK, and there is a good chance of conception. ...Read more

I had done my scan on 16th day follicle size was 23x23mm and 22x22mm.ET was 9mm.is there a chance to conceive.dctr ask to rescan on 18th day.
No known correlation: Follicular rupture causes free fluid and decrease or disappearance of the follicle. That does not confirm ovulation or fertilization or passage of the zygote into endometrial cavity and a potential pregnancy. I am not sure, how we can indirectly predict the conception in the sonogram. ...Read more
