Constipation: If x-rays consistent with constipation you recommend a "MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol)" cleanout. This involves staying close to home and a toilet and I would give her one capful of MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) in 8 ounces of diluted Gatorade (I like G2 Half water, half G2). Think HSP: Makes me instantly think of henoch-schonlein purpura. Check this link out and see if the pictures look like it. 6 y/o female had ultrasound normal kidneys, debris bladder. Urine tests show large amounts of wbc, and calcium, culture neg, yesterday burning w urination. Urine tests last night shows moderate wbc. Daughter has complained of stomach issue for over a yr.

If she's acting 'ok', just encourage small sips of clear fluids (water, electrolyte replacement drink) to keep her hydrated, don't worry about food right now. If loose or diarrhea, there are many causes of diarrhea, but with an abrupt onset, one would think of dietary change, mild food poisoning or viral gastroenteritis.
