13 YO daughter complaining of stomach pains. Lab work is normal. Xray shows feces in abdomen. What could this mean?Awaiting appt w/ GI spec. Rx Colace (docusate sodium)
Constipation: If x-rays consistent with constipation you recommend a "MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol)" cleanout. This involves staying close to home and a toilet and I would give her one capful of MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) in 8 ounces of diluted Gatorade ( I like G2 Half water, half G2). This mixture is given over 24 to 48 hours along with a low residue diet (broth, Jell-O, Popsicles). post clean out diet should be healthy. Check with her primary M.D. ...Read more

If they only have complaints on school days, not weekends or when free to go play, it is more emotive than organ. It could be to intolerance to a new food item. My daughter is complaining of a stomach ache. She is 7 years old. Is there anything I can give her?
Abdominal pain : For mild intermittent pain try the 5p's. Have your daughter pee, poop, pass gas, and use a heating pad (low). And if that does not work try praying (5). If the praying time goes on too long it is time to see the doctor. Medicines do not usually help the pain and should not be given until your doctor can assure you that there is nothing significant going on. ...Read more
