My bf had sex with a girl 3 months before we started dating so he went in and got tested for all STDs and they all came back negative. Are we safe?

Hard to say: There are a variety of infections that can pass sexually. Not all are part of a routine screen, so I would have to say the answer depends on how thorough the testing went. Males are often not evaluated for HPV although they can shed virus off and on for years after primary infection. Condoms provide some help but no guarantee. You are relatively safe, but there's no perfect screen available. ...Read more

It: It is possible that one of you were carrying the virus for an extended period of time. It does not necessarily mean anyone is cheating. Vaginal yeast: You could always use a dental damn or make one. A dental damn is basically a sheet of latex. You can make one by taking a condom, cutting off tip and then cutting along the length of it to make a sheet. You partner would stretch it over the clitoral region and then you have a barrier between his lips/tongue and your skin. ...Read more

Infection: You will likely contract an oral std (...Or more than one, gonorrhea & chlamydia are often found together...And increased likelihood for hiv, etc.). About 1/2 get sore throat and/or flu-like symptoms. Can STDs be a risk if someone with an STD puts their dirty clothes in the dryer to freshen up and someone sticks damp clean clothes in after?

Highly Unlikely: The bottom line is that diseases require contact through bodily fluids or blood. Though highly, highly unlikely, std transmission could occur if there were bodily fluids on the person's clothes who has an std and those fluids were mixed onto the other clothes. If concerned, you may want to consider re-washing and completely drying them with heat to ensure any body fluids are removed. ...Read more
