I lost 42 lbs on dash diet and exercising i was 232 lbs now 190 my BP has been steady so he told me to stop and come back in 2 weeks so far BP is good?
I was on the dash diet for four months and exercising the last two weeks no exercise and have not followed my diet eating more salt will this raise bp?
Listen to your body: A good diet and exercise have a much stronger effect on BP than medications. Eat 6 equal meals of non proceseed food, handle stress skillfully, and move for 60 minutes a day. You don't need to go to a gym. Pretend jump roping for 10 minutes 6 times a day improves circulation to the brain and body normalizing bp. Dash: The effects of reduced salt ( low sodium and hig potassium dash diet ) are immediate . The only caveat being long standing hypertension / BP readings is not as sensitive to low salt diet.
