My 3 yo has dk yellow/orange urine. Doesn't drink much. When he does it gets lighter. Since drinking more fixes it mean it's not kidney or liver prob?
Dark urine: Your child's urine being yellow/orange in color when your child does not drink much is consistent with your child's kidneys excreting a concentrated urine. You found the answer yourself when you stated that when he does drink, the urine get lighter. There is no evidence that your child has a liver or kidney problem from your description. To be absolutely sure, get a urine analysis and blood work.See 1 more doctor answer
Yellow urine: You are not drinking enough water would be my first guess based on what you told me.
Can probiotic supplements make urine darker? My urine has been a dark yellow orange color throughout day. Gets lighter with tons of water.
Urine for the last 6 months has been either neon yellow or dark orange, no pain until now. Pelvic pain, pink pea sized tissue clot in urine. Help plz?
Maybe vitamin or not: The color change, by itself, would suggest a medicine or vitamin is the cause. But the pelvic pain and tissue clot are not related to that kind of change and might imply something is going on in your bladder (pelvic pain is almost never from the kidneys which are higher up and closer to your back, but something happening in your kidneys could be affecting your bladder). See your doctor, don't wait.See 1 more doctor answer
I have orange urine every morning. It lightens in an hour. Is this a liver problem or would the urine be darker all the time?
Darker urine: This is probably just a sign that your urine is concentrated. You could answer this by drinking more water prior to sleeping and see if it is lighter the next morning (that is if you make it through night without urinating after more water intake!)
I am having dark reddish orange urine occassionaly don't eat any kinds of foods that would cause this.
Thanks for asking!: Your pelvic pain and urine color are likely unrelated. The color of one's urine is affected by one's state of hydration. Various vitamins, drugs, supplements, and diseases can also alter the color of one's urine with vitamin b complex, riboflavin, and medications such as azo- and Pyridium (phenazopyridine) being the most common causes of a bright neon, yellow, or orange-colored urine.See 1 more doctor answer
I have orange urine every morning. It is clear after an hour. Is this a sign of liver disease or would the urine be darker all the time? Heavy drinker
Drink more water and: Less alcohol. The dark color of your urine is likely due to dehydration and your alcohol intake is at least partly to blame for that. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
Orange/yellow semen, burning urine, itch in urethra orange/yellow/brown semen, burning urine sometimes, itch in urethra
Hello.: Hello. I recommend that you be evaluated for the burning with urination and the itching in your urethra.
Have a urinary catheter I have to keep in for a week. In the tube my urine looks yellow but in the bag it looks orange.
Normal: Urine can look all different shades of yellow and orange depending upon your hydration. Often the bag urine will look different colored be caused it is a large quantity of urine. Also depends the background...put the tube or bag up against a white background to get the true color. Also some medications (pyridium) can make your urine different colors. I think everything you are describing is normal
29 F, saw blood in my urine, no pain, drank 4 glasses of water the color became orange and then yellow to normal. I wasn't drinking water what to do?
See a doctor: If you are sure the blood was strictly in the urine then you need to find out why. A urine sample taken at the doctors in a sterile container can be sent to the lab for analysis. Since you had no pain it is unlikely blood from a kidney stone, or mixed up blood from menstural flow. It is concerning and drinking water is fine. Please follow up get the urinalysis started at your doctors.See 1 more doctor answer
My 3 yo had GI bug wk ago. Urine has orange tint after. Put cottonball in diaper. Even urine on cotton looks orange. Squeeze urine out. YELLOW. Worry?
My 3 yo had GI bug 5 do. Since then urine in diaper has had orange tint. Put cottonball in diaper squeezed YELLOW urine out. Act, eating fine. Worry?
No worry: When urine that has uric acid crystals in it, which can happen if child is a little bit dehydrated or recovering from an illness, the uric acid crystals hit the gel beads in the diaper and these combine for the orange tint. We see this all the time in newborn's diapers because they excrete relatively more uric acid. That's why the cotton ball urine was yellow and the diaper is discolored!
I have strep throat & started taking amoxicillin yesterday its twice a day @ 875mg. I noticed today that my urine is bright yellow almost orange color?
Vitamin overdose: You might also be taking some vitamin supplements? Particularly B-vitamins? I don't actually recommend vitamin supplements unless you have a 'real' reason to take them. I don't think the Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is at fault here-but it's quite possible you're dehydrated from your illness. I would drink as much fluid as you can: thin soups, ginger tea, lemonade, coconut water etc to support your body through this
I'm a guy aged 27 years wth orange urine whn I urinate please help me. Is this serious? What to do?
Doubt seriousness: Artificial food coloring and natural food colors like beet for instance can cause a phenomenon like this. Go over every thing you take by mouth including medicines. If no solution, see your primary care doc to evaluate blood count, chemistry, and urinalysis to rule out possible rare disease.
