If dark circles are apparent from think skin, visible blood vessels & muscles underneath the eye, are fine lines related? Dark circles vs hyperpig.?

If dark circles are apparent from think skin, visible blood vessels & muscles underneath the eye, are fine lines related? Dark circles vs hyperpig.?

Partially: As you mention, dark circles are due to the thin skin and appearance of the blood vessels but the thin skin itself has a tendency to wrinkle more due to aging process and like an empty baloon that looks darker than an inflated one, the wrinkled skin looks darker than when its stretched. In some, the hyperpigmented skin is the problem and that has different solution. ...Read more

Can palomar skin rejuvenation cause thinned skin to thin more, and stay that way? Will it help with leaky veins under the eye? Can it cause fat loss?

Can palomar skin rejuvenation cause thinned skin to thin more, and stay that way? Will it help with leaky veins under the eye? Can it cause fat loss?

No ; don't use near: Eyes. Laser can't reduce eye puffiness, dark circles, or thin skin. It's also not used close to the eyelids, because of the proximity of orbital fat. Plus, the puffy lids recede back into the orbit, when the person lies down. Leaky veins around eye is best treated with controlling food allergies, and salt intake. If anything, lasers remodels dermis to be thicker ; not thinner with reamplification. ...Read more

My daughter white part of the eye isn't white like other people her eye is kind of pink, red vein is visible and a bit of grey. Is this cause by laptop.

My daughter white part of the eye isn't white like other people her eye is kind of pink, red vein is visible and a bit of grey. Is this cause by laptop.

Probably not: There is great variability to the "white" porion of the eyes surface. Some people have thinner sclera resulting in a grey or bluish color. Some people have prominent blood vessel that cause the sy=urface to look red-- this is normal. Other causes can be allergic or dryness. Sometimes prolonged computer use can cause the eye surface to dry out due to decreased blinking. Artificial tear supple. ...Read more

After blood vein occlusion in the eye, how long can a person expect swelling in the eye ball after healing? (diagnosis: cystoid macular degenerative / venous tributary occlusion) the occlusion happened over a year ago and I have been under a ophthamolo

You: You need to take this list of questions to the doctor who is doing your injections. It is certainly reasonable for you to know what the long term plan is, as well as the prognosis for your eye specifically. Unfortunately, the research shows that patients with swelling cannot just heal on their own. And having the injections every 6 weeks is definitely better than letting the swelling get worse, and possibly cause permanent damage to your vision. ...Read more

Prominent periorbital veins can be eliminated by skillful sclerotherapy (without worry about vision--different vessels). ...Read more

How to best remove leaky under-eye veins that cause dark circles? Lasers?

Veins Beneath Eyes: That depends. When they are spider veins, treatment that involve heat (such as laser or ohmic thermolysis) can be effective. When they are larger veins that are bigger than spider veins, then the treatment can be very difficult. In that situation, laser would end up burning the skin and not be effective. Sometimes mico-phlebectomy surgery can be done to remove them with a formal operation. ...Read more

I recently stopped smoking an alternative to marijuana and my eyes have felt dry and there has been veins and dark circles under my eyes. Help?

See a doctor: Drugs like k2 and spice are not "alternatives" to marijuana, they are highly variable and sometimes very unsafe synthetic chemicals that have been associated, unlike marijuana, with high rates of psychosis, seizures and even death. You need a physical exam, and you need some help with finding alternatives to drugs - a treatment program of some kind. ...Read more

Is palomar laser skin rejuvenation an effective way to reduce dark circles caused by leaky under-eye veins? Can it cause damage to that area?

Dark circles: Lasers and chemical peels reduce dark circles of the lower eyelid by causing thermal injury to the skin, forcing the skin to heal tighter and with a lighter color. These treatments reduce fine lines. However, lasers are risky to use around the eye, although they can be used safely for the rest of the face. I use chemical peels to tighten the skin of the lower eyelid to avoid damage to the eye. ...Read more
