Type of drop: Without an actual picture, it is hard to tell what the problem is. As for burning- when the eyes are irritated, even plain saline may burn. Probably bruise: Without a photo, I'll be guessing. I suspect a bruise of the upper eyelid may have occurred. Often painless and self limited, usually the result of running the eyelid.
