This needs to be: Examined. Pigmented lesions on the foot have a poor prognosis as they are often found late.....please see a podiatrist or dermatologist for exam and possible biopsy.

Get it looked at by: A doctor it could be a plantar melanoma. If not treated it could be trouble. Might be nothing but a black spot on the bottom of the foot we always have a high suspicion for cancer, especially in an dark skinned individual. A similar thing was the demise of bob marley.See 2 more doctor answers
Hi my partners big toenails have turn a dark purple colour and he also has a dark spot on one side of his fourth toe on the left foot.?
Multiple causes: Many medical conditions can cause changes in the nail beds from minor repeated trauma causing "bruising" to dangerous cancerous melanomas. History of trauma, pain and signs of vascular disease should be evaluated. As you suggest the 4th toe has a dark spot, not on the nail, trauma and vascular can be considered, although if the spot on the toe is a "birthmark", photograph and observe.See 1 more doctor answer

Could be a few thing: A black spot can be anything from a freckle, to a mole, to melanoma. Most likely it is a freckle or a mole but it is important to get it checked by a dermatologist. If it looks like the picture it is probably a mole, but make sure you get it checked. Almost all types of dangerous skin conditions can be cured with early detection and treatment.
Hello, a few days ago I noticed a tiny brown spot at my fingertip at my big toe. Is there something to worry about?
I'm not certain: What you mean by "at my fingertip at my big toe". if you're referring just to your big toe, sometimes a blood blister or small contusion can occur there as the big toe can bump up against the inside of the tip of the shoe. If it's more like a mole and doesn't go away in a week or so or also on your finger tip, it would be a good idea to have a professional look at it.See 1 more doctor answer
I've had a brownish black spot of the same size under my big toe for weeks. Doesn't hurt at all. No other health problems. Only 21. What could it be?
ABC's: Although I agree with all the posts previous, use the abc (for melanoma) to help relieve some stress before you see a doctor is the spot asymmetrical? Are borders irregular shaped? Is the color uniform or multicolor? What is the diameter? Also is it elevated? Lastly, of course get it check-ed out but those abc's;s should help relief some stress. Hope this helps!See 1 more doctor answer

Wart?: Did the dr. Give a diagnosis? Sounds like it could be a plantar wart. Was the spot dark in color? See a specialist like a podiatrist or a dermatologist.See 1 more doctor answer

My 5 year old son has a black spot on the bottom of his big toe, almost looks like he stepped on a rock and its inbedded but it's not a rock
I see spots.....: When black spots appear on the bottom of the foot, and they are not related to dirt or blood trapped under the skin, then they need to be seen by a physician. Visualizing the toe is the best way to evaluate and initiate subsequent treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
