Dark Line Down The Spine Cause And Treatment
I've just recently been dealing with severe back pain when I lay down and it feels as though is around the area of my spine, any causes or treatment?
Lower spine trouble, problem sitting, feel like laying down most of the time. Only 28 years old. Does constant work keep spine from aging? Treatment?
Several things asked: For how long you are dealing with back pain? Any trauma or strenuous activity prior to onset (ex., lifting something heavy)? One of the problems to consider with problem sitting is a disc derangement. Usually this could be treated with medication, physical therapy, and if no improvement get an MRI. Facet joints also is in differential. Heavy lifting can make problem worse.
What are causes of spine degenerative changes and spine arthropathy in young male aged 31. and what's back training used in treatment, pls answer in de?
Poly factorial: Degenerative disc disease affects approximately 30 percent of people over 35 and 90 percent over 60. So most people get it at some point. I have seen children as young as 10-12 with it. Genetics, environmental issues, and injury all may play a role. Many respond to conservative treatment including rest, meds, home exercises; physical therapy, chiropractic, traction for more severe cases.See 1 more doctor answer
Suspected a fall as a child caused a butterfly vertebrae at spine (middle point of the back/shoulder plates). Any treatment?
Birth defect: This occurs in the womb as the primitive vertebrae are forming. It is not injury related. In most it is asymptomatic and never requires any treatment. If you think yours is troublesome you can set up a visit with an orthopedic/back specialist to consider your options. If not, ignore it.
Lifestyle changes: Not smoking, weight control and regular exercise are the key ones. Modifying activity that aggravates the back, trying a back support and use of medication if not medically contraindicated can also make a difference. Physical therapy and injections through pain management may help. Most are treated non operatively. Make sure you take adequate amounts of vitamin d and calcium daily.
I have bone spurs in my feet, spine, shoulder and hip. Is there any treatment other than surgery? What causes spurs?
What treatment should I seek for buldging discs in my C-Spine? They seem to cause constant pain and headaches on one side especially.
Cervical discs: I assume you know this by an MRI. The next step would be PT, then a Pain Physician who may be able to offer some minimally invasive treatments as well as possible medication if needed.
What does reactive end plate changes in the cervical spine mean and what are the possible causes and treatment?
It means spurs-: -reacting 2 an underlying process, & at your age group, most likely mild arthritis which is an inflammatory process, & the body reacts 2 this forming spurs. If they are large which you do not say it may B more advanced. If symptomatic, NSAIDS help if you can take them. Activity modification also. If need eval, see a fellowship trained spine surgeon, or start with a rheumatologist. Sorry no pics
Is there a way to unlock a locked cervical facet joint on the left of my spine that was caused by an excersie? I am looking for a cure not a treatment
Osteopathic Eval: Some osteopathic physicians do manipulation to see if a vertebrae is dislocated and he/she can offer treatment by trying to correct the pathology. If this does not help, it could be pathology in your spine that needs to be further evaluation. Recommend seeing a pain/spine specialist.See 2 more doctor answers
LEFT body pain 24/7 for 8yrs. No pain on right. Brain/Spine MRI -ve. Pain absent during menstrual. Does this give any clue for root cause & treatment?
No: No, that the pain has not progressed over a period of 8 years would suggest that whateverr is causing it is benign. Since it is only left sided I would think of someing central in the CNS.
After 30d spine TB treatment, stil slightly feverish in the evening. CRP went down from 8 to 4, ESR stil at 105.less tired than before. Is this really tb?
Many forms of Tb: Also referred to as Pott's Disease, spinal TB is typically diagnosed from bone biopsy in the US. To start the four types of medication for an extended period is no small decision. It is doubtful it's anything else if the diagnostic procedure was done. Therapy will take months, during which times fevers can occur. The CRP trend is good. However, it may take time for the ESR to decrease.

Age is in mid thirties. Could having chiropractic treatments cause an adult my age to grow taller like by lengthening the spine?
I've had severe back pain, right down my spine, for years. Chiro adjustments only provide short term relief. What other treatments should I consider?
See orthopod: I am guessing that you have not had this evaluated by a real doctor. The chiro typically gives deep massage which relieves things briefly but you always go back. An orthopedic specialist can determine the case of the pain and recommend physical therapy, injection treatments and sometimes surgery for more permanent relief.See 1 more doctor answer
I have back pain. I have some numbness down my spine. I have had 4epiderals I have had xrays physical therapy &take pain medication. I need this fixed.
See a Spine Surgeon: Not sure if you have a diagnosis yet as to what's causing your symptoms. Any pain/numbness/tingling going down your legs? In addition to xrays, you will need a MRI of your lumbar spine to better evaluate your spine and see what could be causing your symptoms-if coming from your spine. Getting an accurate diagnosis, will then better enable your doctors to formulate a more effective treatment plan.See 2 more doctor answers
Have injection therapy (steroid shots) in my neck in a couple days because of spine related illnesses. I've been told they cause migraines afterwards?
Depends: It depends on what you mean. A spine that is "crumbling" from osteoporosis can be evaluated by a bone density test and appropriate medications began; if it is from degenerative arthritis, there are a number of non operative treents to treat the symptoms coming from it, but not necessarily to reverse the process itself.
