What can cause dark green loose stools. I have been on my normal diet. No abdominal pain or fever?

Hi I have reflux, gastritis, lots of gas and intestinal rumbling followed with dark green loose stool that's foul smelling. Is this ibs? if not help!?

Not irritable bowel: Reflux isn't IBS, gastitis is inflammation of the stomach. Foul-smelling stools sometimes mean gastroenteritis or malabsorption. Sounds like it is time for a GI specialist or at least a visit to your usual physician for stool studies if the problem continues and even a gluten sensitivity panel with a later GI referral. irritable bowel synd is a diagnosis of exclusion, although real and painful. ...Read more

Green and loose stool? Didn't eat anything with green dye! what's wrong?

Yellow colored diarrhea is seen in even faster traveling stools. The darker the color, the slower the transit and greater reabsorption of bile. ...Read more
