On the other hand eating green leafy vegetables can lead to green stool. Green cabbage, lettuce, peas, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, green salad, green leaves, celery & green beans as well as food that contains green food coloring can lead to green stool. Green Stool: If the stool was loose, the reason for green stool could be too rapid a transit time in the gut. Eating green leafy vegetables can lead to green stool. Im 22 and today after a bowel movement I saw black or maybe dark green lleafy objects in my stool its colon cancer?

Is it colon cancer?: Colon cancer is diagnosed under a microscope by a pathologist looking at a piece of your colon. That piece is collected during colonoscopy, where the inside of your colon is visualized, any polyps, or masses are biopsied and sent to path. Your age is low risk. Your dark, tarry stool, is a symptom. If persists, take a sample to your doc, test it for blood, if positive, doc will order colonoscopy. ...Read more

My 1 month baby did not do bowel movement for two days and when she do it her stool become dark green she is bottle and breast feeding

My 1 month baby did not do bowel movement for two days and when she do it her stool become dark green she is bottle and breast feeding

Good : Good news! the only stool colors we get really concerned about are red (blood from colon), black (blood from small intestine or stomach), or white (liver is not working well). Colors such as brown, yellow, orange, green, even blue (blue kool-aid or blueberries in older kids and adults) or purple (beets in older kids and adults) can all be normal and usually associated with diet. If your baby has a persistent change in her stool habits, you should contact her physician since this could be a sign of an underlying disorder, but a one-time strange stool that is not red, black or white is usually of no concern. ...Read more

Speed and veges...: The color of stool is usually the product of what we eat and speed of intestinal transit. Eating lots of green veges is associated with higher fiber content diets which decrease transit time in the intestine (ie faster) resulting in a greenish hue to the stool due to bile vegetable pigments. No worries. Good luck! ...Read more

Hi I have bowel movements every other day when I use to go three times a day and when I go its dark green and sometimes it floats. Ct hida scan normal?

Possible other cause: Have you changed your diet? Changes in consistency of BM can also be due to what we eat. Do you have any abdominal pain? If you got a CT HIDA I am assuming you are seeing a physician, and I would encourage you to advocate for further laboratory tests to make sure your pancreas is also healthy. Drink water, fruits/veggies, and decrease fat intake to see if this makes a difference as well. ...Read more
