Probably: Lightly bumping your tooth with wedding ring unlikely to cause much damage. Seen it chip an edge of tooth. However, due to your age , you probably have numerous wear and damages including craze lines in the enamel. The light reflecting thru the tooth may make these obvious. It's a result of not having a good seal with the temp crown and usually not a cavity.
