No one really knows: I don't think there's been enough research for anyone to answer your question. However, as much as possible , we try to avoid it...That is why we give chemo--like Doxil (liposomal doxorubicin) etc. There are some other chemo can be used if Doxil (liposomal doxorubicin) does not work- for example- paclitaxel, docetaxel, navelbine-- and off course, continue your HIV meds.
