Hi my six year playes with herself a lot i notice sometimes she using her stuffed animal and i wanted to know if this is normal, or if it's not normal?
Normal development: It feels good. This is normal. Your job as a parent is to gently teach her that this is private behavior without punishing her for doing something so natural. These are tricky waters and you will do just fine! I am very happy that you asked this question. ...Read more
Wait...: I don't generally recommend any objects in the crib except your baby. If you must i would at least wait until over one year in age, probably closer to two years. My son is 7 months old is it ok for him to have a stuffed animal with no tags or anything in his crib at night to snuggle?

Short of getting rid of them, you can reduce the allergen content by putting them in the freezer overnight to kill the dust mites, then put them in the dryer on the fluff cycle to shake most of the allergen out of them. Repeat every 1-2 months. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
