In moderation but...: Green tea is safe during pregnancy but excess caffeine is hazardous so limit to 2-3 cups/day. However, Lipton diet green tea has toxic artificial sweeteners & artificial colors that I advise avoiding at all times- esp. when pregnant. Debilitating migraines, 6 weeks pregnant, taking fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) daily. Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) or hydrocodone during pregnancy, which has less effect on embryo and fetus?

Debilitating migraines, 6 weeks pregnant, taking fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) daily. Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) or hydrocodone during pregnancy, which has less effect on embryo and fetus?

Not advise either: Some obstetricians feel that hydrocodone is relatively safe during pregnancy, but in my opinion, best to avoid if possible. Would not recommend use of Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) in most patients with migraine, especially pregnancy, as it is in the barbiturate family, and has habituation risk. Have found that breathing 100% oxygen as needed is useful and safe. As pregnancy proceeds your headaches should lessen. ...Read more

Check in 1 week: Anytime vaginal bleeding is abnormal, in length, symptoms, or timing, check a pg test to be sure (if you are sexually active and have not had surgical sterilization). Repeat in a week & if negative, and you miss another period, see your doc to find out why. Follow the instructions on the kit, & be sure it has not expired, too. Also, infections can occur, if you are at risk of pregnancy. See MD. ...Read more
