Can high Prolactin, high TSH, high FSH and normal T4 levels be associated with an empty sella or a cystic legion in the pituitary fossa?

Something odd here: Usually when you have high TSH it is because your thyroid hormone levels are low and yet you report your T4 levels are normal. I would go see an endocrinologist and sit down with him and review with him what's up doc. And that's not a wacky suggestion. ...Read more

Tsh high/ egfr low & slight hemolysis, what does all this mean?

Will dielatin 300mg a day make TSH high in blood work and if so why thay keep giving more and more pills?

Will dielatin 300mg a day make TSH high in blood work and if so why thay keep giving more and more pills?

Faster breakdown: Dilantin, like many anti-seizure meds, can speed up certain enzymes in the liver that metabolize, or break down thyroid hormone into inactive chemicals. Since more thyroid hormone is broken down on a daily basis, more must be put into the bloodstream to keep levels up. The thyroid can usually do this naturally, but if someone is already needed pills, a stronger pill may be needed w/ dilantin. ...Read more

Repeat the labs: Hi. In all likelihood, it's a lab error or some trivial explanation. Repeat the labs to see if the lab profile is reproducible. Among the very rare possibilities that it's real would be thyroid hormone resistance, a condition wherein a mutation in a subunit of the thyroid hormone receptor is present (these people are euthyroid), or a pituitary adenoma that makes thyroid hormone (these are hyperthy ...Read more
