Daily Vitamins For Women Medication
None: If you get at least 15 minutes of sun a day and eat a variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, whole grains, and wild fish you probably don't need any. Some people still need vitamin d and vegans need B12 but only a blood test can say for sure. Don't take pills unless you are sure you need them and you know exactly what they do. ...Read more
I am taking: vitamin B12, ferrous sulfate vitamin D3, and daily vitamins for women.
Q:which one should be taken with food?
Q:can I take (10,000mcg biotin with 100mg keratin) supplement alongside the other supplements?
Q:Can I take them all at once?
REALFoodBest, NotVit: Vitamins extremely common all foods, reason humans have not retained just a single gene/protein to make each out of whatever we eat. Vitamins sales are big business with lots of marketing & exempted from scientific evidence in us: dshea act 1994. Best eat real food, not all the abundant processed pretend food. If specific vit. Deficiency suspected, measure from within body, set goal&target replace. ...Read more
I am taking 7 different medicines and was wondering if I can continue to take Natures Code Vitamins for women 50 and over?
Yes, in fact...: Many medications (including yours) increase our need for vitamins so it can be argued the more meds you're on the more vitamins you need. I have much more concern about interactions between these meds than them interacting with vits. Anyone on statins should take CoQ10. It is hazardous to take Omeprazole for long periods. Nioxin vitamins for women's hair health i've read great things about nioxin vitamins for women's hair health. Do you know anything about them?
Hair health: Agree with the doctor who commented on $. Nioxin is basically a super weak "knock off" for rogaine (minoxidil) type medicine. If you have hair loss best to make sure no thyroid or anemia issues (or many other derm issues). If really a problem & want a product, discuss something more "proven" to invest your efforts. (for ex: rogaine (minoxidil), but not for pregnant women.). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
You can take: All the vitamins and so called energy boosters , if you are not deficient they will not do any good except waste your money , excessive may harm you , as recent study shows. Want to start taking Rainbow Light One Women's vitamin, does the herbal blend react with any medications?
Rainbow Light One: Woman's vitamin seems to be a pretty good multiple vitamin, but as with any chemical you put in your body, it can interact with other ones/medications.Specific herbs that interact with the medicines you list you are taking are St. John's Wort, tryptophan, ginkgo. Your best bet is to go online to a drug interaction site and list your vitamin and each Rx med you are taking. Better: get vits in diet! ...Read more
Other than age, thyroid, diet, and medication/vitamins, what medical conditions would cause suddenly shortened periods of a healthy female? (18 days)
24 year old female who is getting bald.
Should i take specific vitamins/medication/oils? I tried minoxidil it didn't work.
Hi there.. Would taking vitamin C along with TB medication help to fight the bac.. If yes ...1000mg of vit c daily would do the job....
Can i take vitamin a pills with a daily mulitvitamin if i also take fish oil capsules? Would they be a good alternative for acne medication?
Poor alternative: You'll need to take enough vitamin A to make yourself sick (and I mean SICK) before you can expect it to clear your acne. Get a topical retinoic acid derivative for your skin rather than the overkill approach that systemic administration offers. If this doesn't clear you, get with your personal physician for help. Fish oil's your business -- the recent studies are disappointing. ...Read more
Good mulitvit, Vit D: It is best to get vitamins from your diet, but the majority of americans do not get enough vit a, e, d, folic acid, calcium & magnesium from their diets & over 1/3 are deficient in c, zinc & b6. What is the max daily dose of vitamin B12 an adult female with very low levels can take? If her face is flushed is she taking too much?
Interesting question: Adults generally need 2.6 micrograms b12/day. To replace deficiencies, im shots bypass gut absorption problems that can contribute to deficiency in the first place. 1, 000 micrograms of intramuscular cobalamin can be given once/day for 10 days, then once/week for four weeks, followed by once/month for life. Sublingual b12, 500-1000mcg/day. The form of B12 (cobalamin) may be important; see comment. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
