Daily Requirements Of Zinc
It depends: We can get all the vit. D we need from sun exposure. Those who live far from the equator can not get d from the sun in fall ; winter but where you live it is possible to get d from the sun year-round. But if you don't spend much time in the sun or use sunscreen then d would be beneficial. You can get a blood test to measure your levels- if not at least 50 you can benefit- see http://bit. Check your zink level: First! Zinc is recommended for many males for prostate health, and often is found in a multivitamin tablet. It has to be taken in the right proportion with copper. You don't want to overdo and take too much zinc. So if you been taking it daily by itself only, have your doctor check your blood level first, then discuss your concerns. That is the best approach! ...Read more

Hello Sir, can daily Zinc supplement cause me to develop gastritis? Looking forward to your reply.
Gastritis Maybe: Zinc, particularly in high doses (over 60 mgs) can cause stomach irritation. Even low doses of Zinc can cause stomach irritation but is less likely to do so. Zinc should be taken with food when used to help prevent this side effect. If you think you have gastritis, it is important you discuss this with your physician as gastritis has many causes and should not just put down to having taken Zinc. ...Read more
I need help! Since taken maximum strength zinc tablets 25mg daily for 3 weeks, I stopped having orgasms and erections isn't as hard! Help please.
Simple choice: If you can relate the issues timewise to the ingestion of the zinc, just stop for a month or two. Your body should equilibrate back to pre-treatment levels and if that is the issue, normal function should return. You may have a build up in your system. If not, have it evaluated. ...Read more
How long does it take for vitamins to get out of your system like iron, zinc or D3 that you take daily?
Quite variable: Only one of the things you mentioned, d3, is a vitamin; the others are minerals. B vitamins and vit. C are water-soluble; other than B12 they are not stored in your system and leave within several hours. The fat-soluble vitamins a, d, e & k can stay for several weeks, as can minerals- for example iron can be stored for several months. ...Read more
When I take 1 tablet of osteocare daily which is calcium, magnesium and zinc I urine alot? What that means
Hi I am thinking of taking 15mg daily zinc supplement. Will this cause me gastritis? If I take them with food is that better?
I have Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc altogether in one pill. It says to take 1 to 3 caplets daily with a meal. Can I take all three at once, instead?
Med Directions: If it says 1-3 daily, then it means all at once. If it were to say take 1 tablet three times a day then it would mean exactly that. If it said to take one tablet up to three times a day then it would be how your are interpreting the directions. According to what you said the correct way is the first, 1-3 tablets all at once, one time a day. ...Read more

There are supplement: That are not well controlled either for whether they actually have the zinc in them and whether any of it gets into you, but there are supplements that have zinc in them. Probably. I see you've run the numbers on the nutrition, so I won't say nuts/seeds. Furthermore I suspect it depends where they are grown. ...Read more

My baby is 9 months 20 days old and have e beta thalassemia. I'm giving her Zinc and B complex syrup (daily 5 ml). Will it cause any harm?
Yes: Biotin, zinc, B12 and omega 3 fatty acids (found in fish oil) are all essential nutrients and perfectly safe to take daily. I would avoid taking more than 40 mg a day of zinc long-term unless you have a condition like pyrroluria which creates a need for more. Some brands of fish oil are much better than others- my favorites are nordic naturals ; omegavail by designs for health. ...Read more
Can I take a women's multivitamin, magnesium, zinc, b12, super b complex and asian panax daily? Age 22
Can a daily multivitamin alone provide the same high levels of antioxidants and zinc as the areds formulation?
It depends on the multivitamin. Several of them have doses of the areds supplements which are similar or equal to those of the areds study. In addition, the areds 2 study demonstrated that 25mg of zinc (a level not much higher than most multivitamins) was just as effective as 80 mg. Bottom line - read the label to be sure.
Also, some of the the areds vitamins are available with a multivitamin. ...Read more
Is it safe to take zinc, b-complex, flaxseed oil and probiotics daily? If so in what order should they be taken?
Yes but. . .: There's no study proving any benefit from taking any or all of the supplements you've noted. Well, no large randomized, double blind, placebo controlled, studies (unless laboratory-proven deficient). Maybe a few observational ones but that's about it. Therefore, it's not clear that any specific order is better than another. If you're concerned, ask prescribing doc for his/her recommendation. ...Read more
Can I take garlic 1000mg, B12 1000 mcg, magnesium 400mg, zinc 50 mg and fish oil 500 mg daily? Should I space them out during the day?
Talk to your doctor: First if you are taking zinc as there's an upper limit you can take per day, (and it has to be balanced with copper too.) Both needed in trace amounts. So this may be safer in a multivitamin formulation unless you are specifically low dietarily in these supplements. B12 is taken sublingually for maximum benefit taken separately. Garlic and fish oil can be taken together. Call your doctor first! ...Read more
