Sir i want to ask u that in reducing obesity wht shd i take meals?

Reduce weight: This is a repeat of what I have said before. My philosophy is that the best way to lose weight is not by dieting, but by changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. You don't need a drastic diet. Make small changes. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein/veggie/fruit/water intake, and start doing some cardiovascular exercise. ...Read more

I am trying to lose weight, due to type 2 diabetes. I am obese. I eat my main meal at 7pm. Does this have an effect eating this late?

Maybe: First of all, congratulations on your goal of losing weight. Even a little bit of weight loss can really help with type 2 diabetes. Meal timing is an interesting area that we don't have all the answers to. In general i tell my patients that meal timing is about 5% of the total equation; 95% of it has to do with total calories consumed and expended. You might try eating after exercise. ...Read more

Doc why everytime I have a nice home cooked meal and i get pretty full i get so sleepy 10 minutes later . I weight 210 pounds im 5'7 am i obese?

Sleep medicine : This is normal. The autonomic nervous system is diverting most of the blood flow to the digestive system to work on digestion. Heavily proteinaceous meals will elevate the blood levels of certain Amino Acid like triptophan. This increases the synthesis of serotonin which will make you feel relaxed and sleepy. Reducing portions helps. ...Read more

How to deal with weird hunger pains 2-3 hours after meals? Gastroscopy is negative and I tried PPI , can it be psycological? I got obese cause of this

Yes, it can: Interpretation of physical signals can be misread by people. A good specialist psychotherapist might be able to help you learn better responses to the 'weird' cues you get. You seem to know that it can not be 'real' need for food and that will be a great start. Cognative/Emotional understanding and Retraining is perhaps better than medication to address your 'real' needs. Best wishes. ...Read more

Go slow: As a weight loss surgeon. I commend you for your goal of getting healthier. I highly recommend that you don't limit your calories too much as this will cause your metabolic rate to slow down and it becomes much harder to lose weight. Might be normal issu: Random palpitations can be a normal issue if they happen from time to time or if you are taking in stimulants like coffee, alcohol, tobacco or over-the-counter medications such as pseudoephedrine, which is found in cold preparations and some herbal medications, including ma huang. So it might be something in the smoothies, try removing one ingredient everyday and see if it comes back. ...Read more

In : In order to lose weight, your caloric intake must be less than your energy expenditure. To calculate your energy expenditure and your basal metabolic energy needs, you can go to: http://www.Health-calc.Com/diet/energy-expenditure-advanced. Using this, you should carefully track your food intake, counting the calories on the food and drink you take in daily. You can either decrease your calorie intake, or increase your energy expenditure by increasing your activity. Clearly exercise has a major impact on how much energy you expend.
