In some cases: We don't really know what causes fibromyalgia. Some studies have found that many who have fibromyalgia have vitamin d deficiency, while others have not found this. In some studies taking vit d in those who were deficient improved symptoms. So worth checking d levels but also see a good holistic doc. Many with fibromyalgia are hypothyroid. Because the lining is normal, absorption of nutrients is not impaired by IBS. Lack of vitamin D and B-12 can be due to lack of absorption due to other illnesses, or simply lack of sufficient ingestion via diet-B-12, and lack of sun-vitD. ...Read more
Chronic fatigue, tiredness, general "out of it" feeling, back/flank pain, GERD, IBS, migraine headaches, palpitations, waking from sleep with racing heart, low vitamin d levels, ferritin level of 14, TSH fluctuations; what could this be?
Association: Admittedly, i'm not an expert in chronic fatigue syndrome. I think chronic fatigue is a common comorbidity or associated syndrome of complex regional pain syndrome (reflex sympathetic dystrophy, causalgia), rather than a cause. Sympathetic involvement may be the common link; hopefully an expert in both conditions could contribute more. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
