Cytomel And Alcohol
Bodybuilding?: Don't do either of those. Cytomel (liothyronine) will throw your thyroid panel off and you maybe on it for the rest of your life. Don't mess with your thyroid. Clenbuterol is a beta agonist only made in certain countries like mexico. Way too many side effects including palpitations, hypertension, and sudden death. You can get shredded without that crap! Strict diet and cardio.
Usually T3 (liothyronine) SR: T3 sr is usually compounded with cellulose. This theoretically gives a slower absorption. Cytomel (liothyronine) can also work well if divided three to four times a day. Some use Cytomel (liothyronine) during the day and sr at bedtime. Others do better with some T4 on board. Everyone is different. Treatment must be individualized.
Short-acting T3 (liothyronine): Cytomel (liothyronine) is the trade name for tri-iodothyronine, (t3). It is considered the active form of thyroid hormone, although all cells can convert T4 (the predominant product of the thyroid gland) into t3. Can be used to replace thyroid hormone, but it is short-lived. This means it must be taken multple times a day, and gives levels which are constantly going up and down (not ideal, hard to adjust).
Cytomel (liothyronine): Before meals as prescribed.Get a more detailed answer ›
Yes: In the morning, but you still have to wait an hour to eat or drink for an hour.
No: Your thyroid makes 90%t4, and a minimal amount of t3. Cytomel (liothyronine) is T3 and is a rapid form of thyroid medicine. It clears your system in a few hours. T4 has a half life of 7d just like your thyroid hormone. Best thyroid replacement is t4. T3 is supplemented if liver conversion is poor or you lack deiodinase. You will not feel well on T3 replacement since you are always running out. T4 is long acting.
Go to your doctor: Cytomel (liothyronine) is mainly for supplementation of your t3, which is way more potent than your T4 and is the end product of your t4. Be careful in taking medicines that your doctor has not prescribed as if you cause hyperthyroidism, your heart status can also suffer. It is best to have your level checked and medicine adjusted.
