Cystocele Repair (Overview)

A cytocele is a hernia of the pelvic floor in women. Correction of the hernia involves placing the bladder above the area of the hernia and then repairing the hernia so the bladder does not fall back through again. That can be done by using your own tissue, or using grafts.

See your Gyne: If you had a cystocele repair 11 weeks ago, and you felt a pop upon straining on the toilet, you may have popped a stitch. See the gynecologist who did your surgery. You are still in the post operative period and there should be no cost for the visit. ...Read more
