That's the pits...: Make sure it's the muscle. Contract the chest muscle while feeling the armpit and see if it is really a muscle. Do this pushing against a wall. Then push down on a table with your elbow and feel for a muscle. Then you can compare muscle to fat. If you're a righty and do a lot of heavy work then it could just be the muscle, but if it feels like anything else, especially if lumpy, see your doctor. ...Read more
