I have a arachnoid cyst on the left side of my brain and have started getting headaches and dizzy spells? What shall I do?
Treat headaches: The arachnoid cyst is likely congenital and creating no problems, whatsoever, unless images are indicative of increasing size and mass effect. The headaches and dizzy spells could be of migrainous origin, but could be triggered by a host of problems such as dental, jaw, sinus, neck, etc. Try to symptomatically treat and discuss cyst with your doctor. ...Read more
I have arachnoid cyst on the back side of my brain and numbess in my left side and rite foot. What are some of of treatment options?
Likely unrelated: Arachnoid cysts are often asymptomatic. When they cause trouble, it is by pressing on adjacent brain tissue. If your cyst is in the back of the brain it would not cause sensory symptoms you describe without causing a lot of other nasty things, like headaches, weakness, visual disturbance. This of course assumes that "back side" of the brain you refer to is the occipital lobe or behind cerebellum. ...Read more
I was hit by a car when I was little. Recently discovered an arachnoid cyst within the posterior fossa, on the left side midline (3.1x1.9cm). Could this be a cause of my extreme fatigue and brain fog?
I just need piece of mind lost left ovary to torsion. Found cyst on right side at 2cm. Doc didn't say anything about it during pelvic exam during pap.
I have a two cm. Cyst in my frontal left lobe of my brain. My grandmother had an anyurism and stroke. Am I at a higher risk than most because of this?
Probably not: The 2 cm cyst in your head/brain is presumably an arachnoid cyst and is not itself a risk factor for aneurysm. There is likely a hereditary component to some aneurysms, and often screening is done for people who have a first degree relative (i.e., parent, sibling, child) with an aneurysm. Having a single grandmother with an aneurysm likely does not increase your risk much if at all. ...Read more

Had a MRI and found arachnoid cyst-left front of brain and chiari 1 mailformation. Should I be worried for my life?
Not life threatening: Most arachnoid cysts and chiari 1 malformations are incidental findings on mris when patients are being worked up for headaches or other symptoms. A chiari 1 is when the cerebellar tonsils at the base of the brain lie low and slip through the hole at the base of the skull. Symptoms can include headache, numbness or ataxia (unsteadiness). Most chiari 1s do not need to be treated. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Septal bone deviation and left maxillary mucosal cyst, salt taste, collection of csf, can it be the results of the pituritary gland or diease in brain
Maybe: Typically, surgery is the most common cause of CSF leak and the cause of a salty taste in the mouth from pituitary disease. If there is no history of surgery, it is remotely possible that a pituitary tumor could grow large enough to cause a CSF leak but this would be the rare case. There is likely no relation of pituitary disease to septal deviation or mucosal cysts. ...Read more
I just had a MRI on my brain. I was told I had a cyst on my left frontal lobe. They're talking about putting me on needs what's should I look out for?
Frontal Lobe Cyst: This is very difficult for me to answer with only a minimal amount of information. However, I suspect the meds are anti-seizure medications because the cyst might leave you at risk for a seizure while your doctors design a treatment plan for you. All I can recommend at this point is that to be sure you are under the care of a board certified neurologist or neurosurgeon. I wish you all the best. ...Read more
