Individualized: There are many different homeopathic remedies that could help a thyroid cyst, but only one of them is likely to help- the choice is based not just on the cyst but on everything else about you as well (homeopaths are more interested in what type of person has a disease than what disease a person has). I advise consulting a good homeopath to determine which remedy is the best fit. ...Read more

Is a 6cm by 7cm ovarian simple cyst classified as a large cyst? Will a cyst that size require surgery if its getting bigger despite taking medicine
Maybe: We usually consider cysts to be large if they are greater than 8 cm but that does vary some from institution to institution ( some set the line at 6 cm). Simple cysts are almost always benign and can be observed unless they are symptomatic. If they are enlarging, however, surgery may become necessary. Hope that helps. ...Read more

Not cancer: A dermoid cyst is a benign type of turmor containing multiple types of tissue and has a characteristic appearance under sonography. Will this cause infertility issues? Thank you.
Complex ovarian cyst w/intern.Septations, submuc. Fibroids, nabothian cysts, liver cyst, hernia. All new w/in last 8 weeks. Possible cancer? Type?
Slow down a bit...: Ok, you have a lot of issues just recently identified. I'm doubtful you have any cancer. Your biggest concern appears to be the ovarian cyst, which is probably benign, but you need to be evaluated by your gyn. The hernia is an elective process, and the liver cyst is probably congenital. Fibroids and nabothian cyst can also be evaluated by your gyn. Take a breath and make an appointment. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is a "hemorrhagic corpus luteum" and a hemorrhagic corpus luteum cyst the same thing? Would either make an ovary look cancerous to a gynonc?
Ovarian Cysts: You didn't give your age, but hemorrhagic corpus lutein cysts are not cancerous, although they can rarely "burst" & bleed into the abdomen and cause considerable discomfort. Any cystic lesion in the ovary should be screened by ultrasound, pelvic exam and possibly other modalities by your gynecologist to rule out cancer, which may be seen over age 45, but often in younger women in their 20's & 30s. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have 6.4x4.7 cm complex cyst, probably endometriotic cyst...the doctor advice for laparoscopy surgery... is this ok?
Probably ok: It depends on the surgeon's training and experience. Ask how many cases like yours he/she has done. While volume alone doesn't equal quality, it's a reasonable surrogate. At least 10-20 laparoscopic ovarian procedures per month would be ok. Also ask about their comfort with the size and complexity, and if taking precaution to avoid breaking and spilling cyst contents.
