Observation: Perineural, or Tarlov cysts are usually incidental findings on an MRI. They are usually asymptomatic and appear on an MRI. They are essentially thinned out parts of the thecal sac which contains cerebral spinal fluid. If you are not having any neurologic deficits, I would not intervene surgically. The covering, or dura is very thin, and would likely tear should one try to repair a cyst. ...Read more

Ice is to keep the: ..swelling down & reduce pain. Other common sense advice include: eating soft food for a while, continuing routine tooth brushing (avoid the wound area), rinsing your mouth out with warm water after eating, and using an oral rinse like Peroxyl twice a day. If you don't have an aspirin allergy, you can take ibuprofen or naproxen for pain. Lips tend to heal quickly, so u should feel better soon. ...Read more
