What do I do if I have a cyst in the groin near the bottom of my butt cheek that popped under the skin? There is no opening, no reddness, no pain.
At this point,: Just watch carefully. If there is no redness or pain/tenderness, as you suggest, it is unlikely there is a worrisome infection. As this area of the body is exposed to many bacteria, keeping it as clean as possible, including exposed to air (no undies, loose skirt) may well be helpful. It could be that it is still a cyst. They can grow and become rather painful, especially if they become infected. This does not make the initial diagnosis of cyst wrong.

Had a Sebaceous cyst removed from my groin today. The wound is left open with bandage. How is the aftercare procedures?
Is left open if drainage is expected! This may be a TWO stage removal...drainage followed by excesion... You should have a better idea of the psot operative treatment plan. CONTACT the surgeon and get advice!
