cyst in my armpit

What is the best way to get rid of a cyst on my armpit?

Depends

If this is truly a cyst then sometimes surgically removing it is the best option. Injecting it with steroids can also help things like this to resolve. And if this is possibly infected then antibiotics may be necessary. Having this evaluated in person will be the safest option if it is bothering you.

I've had a PAINFUL sebaceous cyst inside my armpit for 3 months now. it just recently ruptured & draining nonstop for 4 days straight, what can I do?

Let it stabilize

Cyst
I'm sorry it ruptured. The keratin and/or sebum in the cyst promotes bacterial overgrowth and greatly interferes with healing. You should get with your physician now for possible antibiotic treatment; you may need surgery when things settle down.

you should go back and see the surgeon who did your first surgery. There are many things this could be and the best option is to see the person who did your initial work. Most likely if the cyst they removed is normal tissue then this would be normal tissue or a recurrence of the cyst or it could be something new which your initial surgeon would be able to let you know.

Underarm_rash
This could be from shaving the area or from deodorant/antiperspirant and can be caused by a fungal infection or more likely a bacterial infection. Threre are inexpensive topical treatments and/or oral antibiotics that can help clear this up but a derrmatologist would be the best to determine the cause and find a treatment.

Is it just a cyst because my left armpit (where the lump is) hurts?

Might be

Cyst
Cysts usually do not hurt unless inflamed. Women shave area & sometimes improperly with straight razor that causes nicks for bacteria to climb through & develop infected sweat glands, called hiradenitis, which can be devastating. Use of a used razor is discouraged & use of another person's razor is frought with concern for infection. A princess electric type of razor is advised.

Surgery For a Sebaceous Cyst I had a cyst removed from my armpit eight months ago. I have already used some oral antibiotics and a cream (Fucidin) as per the directions. But still I can see some white boils on the wound and colour is still red.Is this a no

Go back

Antibiotics
Either there was another cyst or the surgery failed to remove it completely. No antibiotic and no cream will have any effect. There is more cyst still there.

I

I suspect you have a chronic infection of the sweat glands called hidadenitis suppuritivia. There is a hereditary component to this condition due to keratin formation at the skin opening of the sweat glands. Antiperperants further block the gland opening.

There

There may be recurrence if the entire cyst wall has not been removed at the time of the first procedure. Another possible explanation is a condition called hiradenitis suppurativa where multiple lesions appear and usually on both sides. A dermatologist might help.
