I have a ovarian cyst filled with blood and am very scared. How serious are they?

For the most part, they are not dangerous at all. They resolve over time usually. If a hemorrhagic cyst is very big (5cm or more) it can cause discomfort/pain or lead to other bad outcomes (ovarian torsion) which is rare. Cysts rarely require surgery. ...Read more

I : I think it would be worth visiting your doctor to discuss this. One condition that can cause little "blood cysts" is thrombocytopenic pupura, which is caused by an abnormally low platelet count. If that's what's going on, then it would be important to know because it would put you at risk for major hemorrhages and because it could reflect other health problems. ...Read more

Drain and culture: These are not uncommon. Often time they need to be drained and cultured to determine exactly what is causing this. Treatment can then be focused and preventing or treating the specific cause. Warm compresses and good hygeine can also help, but see your doctor to discuss options. ...Read more

I have a blood filled ovarian cyst and IV just missed a period. What could be rong, could the cyst be getting worse?

Possibly: I assume you were told about the cyst after having an ultrasound or ct scan. The most common cause of a missed period in a female of childbearing age is pregnancy. You should probably take a pregnancy test first. If that is negative you can move on to a thorough work-up with the gynecologist who ordered the imaging study. Be well. ...Read more

Can an 9cm blood filled ovarian cyst cause or make haemorrhoids & uterine prolapse reoccur or is it just coincidental
